I’m incredibly frustrated with my dwelling. I figured that renting something slightly out of my comfortable price range & budget could yield a better dwelling with newer appliances & good fit & finish throughout. Instead, I was put into a disappointing dwelling that has endless concerns. The floors had to be removed & repaired the very second I was in because previous water damage had swelled up the subfloor so much in a section of the dwelling that the vinyl plank was bulging out & starting to crack in many areas. It was entirely disgusting to see all of that mold underneath the aged vinyl they ripped out. I wasn’t particularly confident that the current vinyl flooring would be any better to be honest, although I was just blissful to have the procedure over and done with. That’s when I started noticing leaks underneath my sinks where the p-traps are situated. The building supervisor had the plumber in the dwelling for 2 afternoons straight patching leaking sinks. But, the worst thing of all came when I had a private Heating & A/C appliance inspector look at the air duct. I couldn’t get the temperature inside below 75 degrees & I was convinced the temperature control unit & air handler where still working from the initial inspection upon our original move-in date. I assumed that if there was something wrong with our HVAC appliance, it had to be the air duct or condenser. The condenser was in perfect shape, but the harshly cheap & flimsy plastic air duct that is installed here was full of holes throughout. My worker said it looked pretty chaotic. Now I’m expected to deal with 4 days straight of repairs & replacement as they rip out the aged air duct to update it with new.
