Thermostat never detects my presence

The more I watch the news, the more wary I become of our modern technological worlds. I mean, do we need computers to run every single thing on this planet? Can we all just go back to analog devices for a while and see what humans are still capable of on our own? Is it really such a healthy thing that we’re always buying something new? I feel like humans today are way too jazzed about new gadgets before they really have a chance to investigate the benefits of them. Unfortunately, this has recently been my experience, too. A few weeks ago I called the local heating, cooling, and air quality control dealership and I honestly thought I was doing something nice for my heating, cooling, and ventilation system. I finally got a smart temperature control device that is supposed to control my indoor heating, cooling, and ventilation system. The forced air furnace and air conditioning unit perform just fine. However, my central heating and cooling control plan was an outdated thermostat that didn’t allow for changes in temperature without manually adjusting the HVAC control device. I hated that my energy bills were always so high from running the indoor air temperature control plan at one set level. I wanted to be able to turn off my indoor air temperature program when no one was around, and so I had a smart thermostat installed. The device has not thrilled me. The smart thermostat that is supposed to control my HVAC doesn’t do a thing. No matter how many times I link my phone to my thermostat, it doesn’t know when I’m in the house or not. It changes the heating and cooling settings all the time, regardless of my presence. Ever since, my energy bills have actually increased.
