When I bought a second-hand coat from the thrift shop, I didn’t expect to find a little surprise inside. It was actually a remote control for a certain style of A/C unit. I like using window A/C units and I was thinking about upgrading mine for my bedroom. So I ended up looking at the model number on the remote and picked up one of these window A/C units used. It was actually in real good condition and it even worked perfectly with the remote! I don’t know what those window A/C units go for when they are new, but I was able to get my new window A/C unit for incredibly cheap. I love how well it cools my bedroom and the remote is really convenient. I can relax on my bed and focus on my studies and easily adjust the temperature control settings. I have had moments when I wondered if whoever owned that coat was freaking out about losing their cooling system remote, but I guess they should have guessed the remote was in their old jacket pocket. For me it was some kind of strange destiny because I have never had a more energy efficient window A/C unit before I had this one. It’s one of those highly energy efficient rated models and I finally learned that they cost a small fortune when you purchase them new. I’m so glad that I was able to get one. Not only are they energy efficient, but they have a warranty for ten years and I was sure this particular model probably had a warranty that was still good.
