When my guy asked me to go camping with him I basically said “no”.
I don’t really like the outdoors and I don’t enjoy being extremely frosty.
It snows in this area, although the snow doesn’t stick. It is still too frosty for camping this time of year. My man was saying that we would be camping in a cottage and that the cottage has a nice oil furnace so I decided to go along with him. I packed winter clothes, a few books, and my crochet project. Then I hoped and prayed that the cottage really did have a fantastic working heater. I was thinking of a rustic sort of cottage with maybe a fireplace and a space heater. What I got was a 5-star resort. This isn’t really a cottage at all. It is basically a hotel that happens to be made of logs. It has moose heads on the wall in the dining hall and other sorts of rustic things but it is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The best part about it was the radiant heated floors! Every room in the “cottage” has radiant heated floors and each room has a nice temperature control. Our room was incredibly comfortable. I don’t actually know what I was so upset about. I was able to stay on the couch in our room and read and crocheted for the whole stay while my man went hiking and hunting. We both had the best time. I told him to invite me again next time he wants to go “camping”. I can easily camp like this and I’m cheerful that I made the choice to go along with him.
