When I went away to university, I realized I couldn’t afford to rent an apartment, then i would have to rent a room, however since I would be going to university full-time, along with working full-time, I didn’t see this as much of a problem! After all, I wouldn’t be apartment much anyway.
I started looking for a room to rent & found out that it’s not as straightforward as you would think, however the first many sites I looked at we are not livable.
The first room had no heating or air-conditioning. The apartment didn’t have central heating or air-conditioning so I would have to buy our own window air conditioner along with a space heater. I can’t afford to do that. The other place I looked at had a bunch of absolutely strict rules. I wasn’t allowed to use the living room & was expected to supply our own microwave & keep it in our room. I even had to supply our own silverware & plates. That’s crazy. Then I found a room that was perfect for me. There were no odd rules & the room has its own air conditioner & furnace installed. It’s called a ductless mini-split system & it’s kind of adore a window unit however it provides both heating & air conditioner. It also does not take up any window space. There is a hose that runs the heated or cooled air from the outside part into the room, through the wall. I adore that I have a window to see out of & that I will stay nice & comfortable. I also adore that I will have living room privileges too.
