I would call a Heating and Air Conditioning worker to find out, but I’m scared to find out what I already basically know about my HVAC system-that it needs an upgrade to the air ducts
I no longer feel safe in my home, because I have been hearing talk from the neighbors that people have broken into their homes, and things were stolen from them when they were not home. There were some reports of people stealing window A/C units in our area. This really got my attention, so I decided to look for security systems. Because I have a few window A/C units myself. Good ones. I love them-they are mainly now my cooling plans in the hot weather. I honestly haven’t used my central cooling for some time. It’s a bit out-dated and makes my energy bills soar. These newer window A/C units are shockingly energy efficient, so obviously I prefer to use them over the outdated cooling system that I have hooked to the air duct. And the air duct system is another potential problem. I’m pretty sure part of the reason for the high energy bills is the fact that my air ducts system is so outdated as well. It probably has holes and rips in it that are helping make the energy bills spike whenever I use the central cooling system. I would call a Heating and Air Conditioning worker to find out, but I’m scared to find out what I already basically know about my HVAC system-that it needs an upgrade to the air ducts. That would cost a fortune I bet, and then I might even need to upgrade the air conditioner unit, or the heating as well! I can’t afford all that, so I’m sticking with my window A/C units. That’s why with what has been going on in my neighborhood I’m putting in a good security system.
